Looking forward at my life, I firmly believe that God has set a mission on my life to proclaim His truth in whatever situation I am in. I believe that I will work in the local church whether that is with kids, students, or adults. I believe that God has put the desire for a family in my heart. This could mean having my own biological kids, adopting, or a mix of both. I believe that God has called me to create a home in which people feel known, heard, loved, and safe. In an environment such as this, He wants me to continue to proclaim the truth to the people that walk in the door. I firmly believe that the local church is God’s plan to save the world and the local church is made up of people being family. Especially in small settings where people feel known and safe. They can begin to discover who Jesus is and how to follow Him.
If this is God's mission for my life I believe that He has put it there in order for others to see His love displayed in my life. Throughout the New Testament Jesus beckons us to drop everything we have in our hands and to follow Him. A couple years ago, this is not what I thought my life would look like. But this is been a process of me dropping preconceived ideas in my hands in order to pick up what God has for me and my mission on this earth.
I believe that God is calling me into simplicity and thankfulness. He is inviting me to invite others into the wild ride of being a disciple. What is he inviting you to?
